SENIOR SOLICITOR

Alison joined Nexus in 2015. Since qualifying in 1998, she has specialised in accident, injury and medical negligence claims, covering a complete range of cases from modest claims to catastrophic injuries. She has particular expertise in complex injury and insurance issues and has advised both injured clients and insurance companies.

After qualifying as a solicitor in 1991, Chris trained and worked at a major international firm in London before moving back to the North West. Chris advises commercial and insurance clients on a range of contentious matters from straightforward money disputes to complex, multi-party actions, professional indemnity matters and intellectual property disputes. His practice includes dealing with international disputes.

David has over 30 years’ experience of the finances of law firms. David joined nexus solicitors in May 2005. He is now the Finance Director and the firm’s Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration.

Des qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and set up Nexus with his fellow partners in 2000. His clients include multiple national retailers and private Landlords. He has found that the departure from the traditional, old-fashioned fustiness of law firms has been warmly received.

Gabriella joined nexus in October 2018. She began her career as a legal apprentice, and joined Nexus from one of Manchester’s largest law firms. She has worked in the legal sector for 5 years, and assists our real estate team on residential and commercial property matters

Janet qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and is a specialist divorce and family law lawyer. She advises in connection with all aspects of matrimonial and family law. She advises all types of clients, including a number of high profile individuals. She handles every type of case, including high value cases and settlements. Janet joined nexus in 2013 from a national law firm, where she was head of family law.

Leilah qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and joined Nexus in August 2004. She practises in corporate, commercial and insolvency law. She is involved in a variety of transactions including MBO’s, MBI’s, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, as well as share schemes, corporate and commercial contracts. She also acts in insolvency based transactions on behalf of insolvency practitioners and corporates.

Rhian joined Nexus in January 2024, bringing over 15 years’ experience since qualifying as a solicitor in 2008. She advises on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, venture capital and private equity investments, group reorganisations, share schemes, and corporate governance for a diverse client base. With a strong focus on the life sciences and technology sectors, Rhian has advised numerous start-ups and university spin-outs across their corporate lifecycle – from incorporation and shareholder arrangements to seed-stage funding through to exit.
